Yup he is going to sleep in his jeans. Sometimes one must ask "Is this a big deal really?" Tonight the answer was no.

Steven Diaz our 152 took 2nd place in the Spiegel Tournament. Congrats Steven! This pic was take at 0:00  at night. We woke up at 4:15 to get on the road. We had to pick up a kid and get to the school by 5. I only had 4 hours of sleep but managed not to bite any heads off. After the award ceremony we ate at Denny's. We ended up getting home at 1 am.

This is the story Patrick wrote from the following writing prompt: Many people in Florida have not had much experience with snow but wish that they could enjoy being in the snow. Think about experiencing a big snow storm in Florida. Write about your snow experience.

Patrick and I went to skate night tonight and then to the wrestling match. We lost to Winter Haven. Patrick had fun with his pals from school though. By the end of the night he almost got the hang of skating. He would have done better if he wasn't so busy trying to dance while he was skating. (What can I say he is his mama's boy?) It was so cute. We have been getting daily hug reports. He told a little girl about the crush he has had
on her since kindergarten. She hugged him and each day since as they leave alpha they hug. On the second day Patrick said to me "Wow mom! Two hugs is almost a girlfriend."

Kathleen has a good wrestling team. They are hard competition for our kids. Our kids fought really hard and almost pulled out a win. If we had two more pin instead of win by decision we would have beat them. Some of the kids really surprised me with the pin they provided the team. We have another match tomorrow and a tournament on Saturday so you will probably see quite a few more like this one over the next few days.

Since my mom it out of town Presley gets to enjoy a night crate free. Patrick covered her up, “so she won’t get cold.” Amazingly she has been there for more than an hour. I figured she would have jumped down by now, especially since Patrick has fallen asleep.

A pretty good start for this week. My mom makes sure he has his homework done before I come home and signs his agenda sometimes because I am a forgetter. By the way, those are the easiest spelling words he has had all year.

Pehn wakes up and leaves an hour before I even think of rolling out of bed. When he got home today I noticed we both picked the same color shirt.  Great minds think alike.

What a wasted day?! I spent the work day listening to some lady talk about how to create a ninth grade academy that would ensure student success throughout high school. (By the way, I teach middle school.) For about an hour, I am being generous with that amount of time, we discussed how we could help transition students with a high school that we feed into. Otherwise, we twiddled our thumbs, while listening to Ms. Lady tell war stories from the high school where she was principal, and patted ourselves on the back for already implementing things that will help students be successful

Patrick likes reading the Hardy Boys in the stairwell. It is the perfect size for him to stretch across and touch both sides.
