I'm Back!

We are back home from our Spring Break trip to Philadelphia.  Since I didn't post any pictures while we were gone, I'm going to work on catching up tonight.  Thanks for being patient with me.  :)

I want to apologize for not yet posting a few of your submissions.  I've had a crazy headache for the past two days and have spent most of my free time sleeping instead of on the computer.  It's all better now, so my plan is to catch up tonight.

And, again, thank you guys so much for participating in this project with me.  I love looking at and commenting on your photos.  I know how difficult it is sometimes to get photos taken and submitted (I'm about 4 days behind myself), but I really appreciate you not giving up on it.  Let me know if you have any suggestions/likes/dislikes about the way it's going.  We can always make adjustments.

I think Kirsten did a great job with the theme for this weekend.  Very creative!  I hope to see lots of creative photos to go along with this one.  The theme is:

 This weekend's theme was Jennifer's pick.  She said that she knows it's cliche', but she couldn't ignore the obvious.  So... this weekend's theme is LOVE.

This week it was Jenn's choice and she picked ORGANIZED CHAOS.  Start thinking now and submit those themed photos on Saturday or Sunday.

Future Post Numbers

Calendar with Post Numbers

January posts/photos have been easy to keep up with because the post numbers matched the calendar dates.  Starting today, they no longer match.  I've created this (really simple) calendar in excel with the post number for each day.  It will be especially helpful for us when we need to play catch up.  Click on the above link and download the .xls file to your computer.

This Week's Theme

I'm going to try to announce the theme for the upcoming weekend as early as I can so that you have time to think about the photo you want to take.  Be creative!  But, don't let it stress you out.  This is all about having fun.  Remember to hold your theme submissions until Saturday or Sunday.

Janice chose the theme for this weekend (January 30 & 31).

On another note, here's a website you might enjoy.    http://www.picnik.com/    It's a free photo editing site.  I use it all the time (see 7/365, 11/365, 20/365, 21/365, 23/365).  It makes me look like a much better photographer than I really am lol.  Not saying that your photos aren't gorgeous, but this is a fun site.   (There's also a premium feature you can pay about $5 a month for and get a few added perks, but I've only ever used the free stuff).   If you'd like help navigating the editing options, let me know.

Weekend Themes

Hi Ladies,

I really hope you're enjoying the blog.  I had an idea today and I'd like some feedback.  I thought it might be fun to choose a theme for each weekend.  Everyone would get a chance to pick a theme.  I'd post the theme on the blog on Friday and either your Saturday or Sunday pic would have to relate to the theme in some way.   It would be a fun way to get some creative photos. 

I'll pick first since I've had time to think about it.  Then next weekend we'll start going down the labels list (on the right side over there ---->) so next weekend would be Janice's turn to pick. 

This weekend's theme is:   CONTROL   Interpret it anyway you'd like.  When you send in your theme photo (either tomorrow or Suday) make sure to tell me in your email that it's the theme pic. 

Leave some comments and let me know what you think.  If you all hate the idea, we'll scrap it, but if you like it let me know and we'll try it out.

It's going great!

Hey girls, I hope you're enjoying the blog.  I love looking at all your photos!  Don't forget to comment on the photos you like.  It's nice to know someone's looking at your pics :) We've had a couple people playing catch up and a couple newcomers to the blog (Toni and Jenna) so be sure to scroll back through and look at some of the pics you may have missed.  (Any time you submit photos late, I'll post them under the day they should have been submitted, just to try and keep things in order.)  It's not too late if you know someone who wants to jump in and do this with us.  I'll keep letting people in for one more week.  After that, it'll be a little too difficult for anyone to catch up.
